Buffalo Bills dial up the pressure
For the second straight week, the Buffalo Bills defense was able to get pressure on the opposing quarterback and disrupt the offense. The Falcons and Jets are not going to be confused for top-tier offenses but it is great to see this defensive front make their presence known.
The Buffalo Bills finished the game with nine sacks and Jordan Poyer led the way with two sacks, although one of those sacks was on wide receiver Jamison Crowder. In addition to Poyer, Mario Addison also had two sacks that extended his team lead to seven. Ed Oliver would add 1.5 sacks while Matt Milano and Boogie Basham each had one sack as well. The final player to add to the category is Jerry Hughes, who split the sack with Ed Oliver.
If the Buffalo Bills are able to continue getting this kind of pressure in the playoffs, it is going to be tough for opposing quarterbacks to throw on this defense, even without Tre’Davious White.
