2022 NFL Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills add help for Josh Allen with early picks

Round 6, Pick 186: Andrew Vorhees IOL (USC)

Round 7, Pick 230: James Empey, IOL (BYU)

Round 7, Pick 242: Demani Richardson, S (Texas A&M)

In the next two picks, the Buffalo Bills focus on the interior of the offensive line. Last year, the Bills drafted three offensive linemen and Spencer Brown has shown he is a long-term answer at right tackle. As for Tommy Doyle, he is still a bit of an unknown with limited playing time this year and could eventually become a swing tackle for this team.

The third offensive lineman was Jack Anderson, however, he was signed off their practice squad by the Philadelphia Eagles. Anderson was an interior offensive lineman that could eventually develop into the primary backup at guard or center.

The loss of Anderson creates a need to add depth on the interior of the offensive line and the Bills get that with Andrew Vorhees out of USC who would be a guard with James Empey out of BYU likely a center at the NFL.

The Buffalo Bills’ final pick in this mock draft is safety Demani Richardson, who The Draft Network described as a versatile safety that could play either role. The Buffalo Bills don’t have a traditional strong and free safety so a player like Richardson could be a good fit in this defense as a potential backup for Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer.
