The margin of error in the playoffs is small considering the talent of the teams that makes the playoffs. That is why placekicker Tyler Bass is one of the most important players for the Buffalo Bills not named Josh Allen.

In his second year in the NFL, Bass has been almost automatic by making 86.7% of his field goal attempts and every extra point attempt this year. He also has a very strong leg with a season-long 57-yard field goal this year and has made five of eight attempts over 40 yards this season.

The strength of Bass’ leg helps shorten the field for the Bills in terms of getting into scoring range. When a team has a kicker that has the strength to consistently make field goals over 50 yards it really is a big advantage.

There is a good chance that a game could be decided on the foot of Tyler Bass this year and the Buffalo Bills should have confidence in his ability to deliver in the playoffs.
