2. Indianapolis Colts (9-6)

The Indianapolis Colts got off to a rough start to the season going 0-3 but since Week 9 there may not be a team playing better football. They have gone 6-1 over the past seven games and that includes a blowout win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 and over the past two weeks has ended the New England Patriots six-game win streak.

On Christmas Day they traveled to Arizona and beat the Cardinals by a final score of 22-16.

The Colts are led by running back Jonathan Taylor, who currently leads the league in rushing with 1,626, which is nearly 500 more rushing yards than second place (Joe Mixon). He also has 17 rushing touchdowns and averaging a remarkable 5.5 yards per carry on 297 carries.

As for their defense, they do allow teams to move the ball but are only allowing an average of 21.0 points per game. The reason they are able to do that is they are one of the best at forcing turnovers, ranking second in the league with 31.

The trick to beating the Colts is to slow down Jonathan Taylor and force Carson Wentz to throw the ball. However, as the Bills found out earlier in the season this is easier said than done and the Colts are going to be a team that many won’t want to face in the playoffs.
