Linebackers

The past few weeks have been up and down for Tremaine Edmunds but the two-time Pro Bowler bounced back and had a good game against the Panthers. He finished the game with seven total tackles and one QB hit. Meanwhile, Matt Milano added three total tackles and one pass defended.

The Bills built a big enough lead that they were able to rotate in some backup linebackers as well with A.J. Klein guaranteeing the Bills a victory with an interception on the Panthers’ final drive of the game.

Secondary

Cam Newton was only able to throw for 156 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. However, he really had to work for those 156 yards as Newton needed 38 pass attempts, which according to Sal Capaccio is the fewest yards on that many pass attempts in the past two years.

The Buffalo Bills secondary played well but it is clear the Panthers’ game plan was to target Dane Jackson, who only was playing in fifth career start. This is unlikely to change moving forward until Jackson proves he can force some turnovers.
