Josh Allen was not sharp in Week 15

After one of the best games of Josh Allen’s career, he struggled against the Carolina Panthers. He would finish the game completing 56% of his passes for 210 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while running the ball only three times for 24 yards.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback didn’t look sharp and was missing throws that typically have been easy completions. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what the issue was as it could have been Allen trying to get the ball out quickly knowing the offensive line was missing key starters.

It could have been that the foot injury was still affecting some of his throws and limited his opportunities to run the ball. Josh Allen seemingly is looking his best at throwing the ball when he finds a rhythm running the ball.

While the Carolina Panthers have struggled, one area they have not is pass defense and they ranked first in the league in passing yards allowed. This could have been another reason that Allen didn’t look as sharp as he did last week against the Bucs.

The good news is that the Buffalo Bills were still able to get the win even when Allen didn’t have his best game. However, he will probably need to play better if the Bills hope to win next week against the Patriots.
