Fantasy football expectations for Josh Allen in Week 15
The Buffalo Bills came up short against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but they only were in a position to win due to Josh Allen. He had an incredible game with 308 passing yards, 109 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing).
Josh Allen would finish Week 14 as the highest-scoring player with 36.2 points in standard leagues according to FantasyPros. He now leads the NFL in points scored per game for the season at 24.4, moving just ahead of Tom Brady who currently is averaging 24.2.
Week 15 Opponent
This week the Buffalo Bills are facing the Carolina Panthers and while they have their issues on the offensive side of the ball, they actually have a pretty good defense. According to NFL.com, the Panthers are close to the middle of the league when it comes to fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks over the past four weeks, an average of 16.08 points per game.
However, the Panthers have not played a quarterback at the same level as Josh Allen with their past four games being against Colt McCoy, Taylor Heinke, Tua Tagovailoa, and Matt Ryan.
What to expect from Josh Allen in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers?
If the Buffalo Bills use a similar offensive game plan to the one they used against the Bucs, it should once again be a big week for Josh Allen. The Bills asked Allen to run more than he has at any point this season with 12 rushing attempts and this helped open up the run game for players like Devin Singletary and Matt Breida.
However, the Bills asking Allen to run more also resulted in him suffering a foot injury that had him in a walking boot after the game. Head coach Sean McDermott didn’t sound overly concerned and he is likely to play this week but the rushing attempts may be fewer this week.
Even with the potential for fewer opportunities on the ground, Allen should still have a great week and is a Top 3 option at quarterback against the Carolina Panthers.
