The media loves New England and has already dethroned the Buffalo Bills

All week long, the media has praised Bill Bellichick and the coaching expertise he has displayed over the last six weeks. Granted, a six-game win streak is impressive in the NFL, but ignoring the quality of the opponent would be naïve.

Since losing to the Cowboys, the Patriots have been fortunate enough to meet their adversaries at less than 100 percent health. They have certainly capitalized on their fortuity, winning every contest by a considerable margin. But who have they beaten?

On CBS’s NFL pregame show, every analyst picked the Bills to finish second in the division, providing Buffalo with more than enough bulletin board material until the two teams meet again.

But wait. Aren’t the Buffalo Bills the reigning AFC East champions?

What’s largely forgotten, due to Buffalo’s inconsistent play, is the Bills’ ability to completely take over a game on either side of the ball. Additionally, Mac Jones hasn’t seen the type of potent defense Buffalo boasts, nor has he played in bad weather in such a hostile environment this season.

But that’s why they play the games.
