How does the Buffalo Bills secondary play without Tre’Davious White?

The Buffalo Bills are really finding themselves in somewhat uncharted territories. Since the Bills drafted White in 2017, he has been the top cornerback for this defense and over the years developed into one of the top cornerbacks in the league.

The former Pro Bowl cornerback handled big responsibilities for this defense by always covering the top wide receiver. He would usually do it so well that it allowed the safeties to shade to the other side of the field or be more aggressive at the line of scrimmage or try to force turnovers.

That all changes now with Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson likely to be the starting cornerbacks moving forward. While Wallace has been a starter for a few years now, he has typically only had to match up against the number two wide receiver. Meanwhile, Dane Jackson only has two career starts, both of which came last year as a rookie.

It will be interesting to see how the secondary handle the absence of Tre’Davious White and if they can remain a strength of this defense.
