Defensive Ends

One of the standouts on the defensive side of the ball has to be Mario Addison, who had one of his best games this season. He finished the game with four total tackles, two tackles for a loss, and one sack. One of those tackles for a loss came on a key fourth down play where Ed Oliver got great penetration to disrupt the run and force him outside where Addison was waiting to bring the ball carrier down.

In addition, rookie Greg Rousseau also did a good job this week in particular against the run. He finished the game with three total tackles and helped set the edge and not allow the running backs to get wide for big plays.

Defensive Tackles

It was another great game by Ed Oliver and he is consistently playing at a high level that the Buffalo Bills thought he could when they drafted him in the Top 10 of the 2019 NFL Draft. He finished the game with four total tackles, 0.5 sacks, two QB hits and one pass defended.

The Bills also made some changes at defensive tackle by calling up Eli Ankou and Brandin Bryant, two big defensive tackles that could help against the run. They certainly did that as the Saints would finish the game with only 44 rushing yards on 25 attempts for an average of 1.8 yards per carry.
