Buffalo Bills force an interception
The 2021 season for Carson Wentz didn’t get off to a great start but over the past few weeks, the Colts quarterback has played much better. One area that he has really improved in is protecting the football and not throwing interceptions.
In his final season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Wentz threw 15 interceptions in only 12 games. However, this year he only has three interceptions in 10 games.
The reason I believe the Bills are going to be able to force Wentz into at least one interception is for a few reasons. The first is that this defense has an excellent secondary and they currently are second in the league in interceptions with 15 and coming off a game where they had four against the New York Jets.
The other reason and this builds off my previous prediction, is that the Colts defense is at its best when Jonathan Taylor is running well. If the Bills can limit what the Colts running back is able to do, it puts more pressure on Wentz and he could force some throws.
In the past five weeks, there has been only one game where Jonathan Taylor has not broken 100 rushing yards and this is also the only week Wentz has thrown an interception. In fact, in that game against the Titans, he threw two interceptions.
This week, the Bills are able to limit Jonathan Taylor and this helps them force Carson Wentz into a few bad throws that result in at least one interception.
