1. Tennessee Titans (8-2)

Right now, it is hard to put anyone in the top spot in the AFC other than the Tennessee Titans. However, the margin between the Titans and Bills is not much as evident as their matchup earlier in the season that came down to the final play.

The Titans are currently on a six-game win streak that includes victories over the Bills, Chiefs, Colts, Rams, and Saints. The impressive part is that the offense hasn’t seemed to miss a beat even though Derrick Henry is likely to miss a majority of the season due to a foot injury suffered in the game against the Colts.

The reason they have been able to continue winning is that their defense has looked significantly improved over the past few weeks. Since the Buffalo Bills game in Week 6, the Titans are allowing only 17.75 points per game over the past four games.

The race in the AFC is far from over but right now at the midpoint of the season these are probably the five teams that likely have the best chance to earn that top seed with the Titans ahead of the pack.
