This is the ninth entry into the 2021 Josh Allen Game Grades series. Each week, Josh Allen’s numbers, decision making, and overall performance will be reviewed and given a letter grade.

In Week 10, the Buffalo Bills rebounded from their Week 9 loss in Jacksonville with a 45-17 rout of the New York Jets.

Josh Allen and the offense were firing on all cylinders in East Rutherford. Allen’s stat line on the day was very good. He completed 21 of 28 passes for 366 yards, two touchdowns and an interception he threw in garbage time.

Week 10 was Allen’s most efficient effort to date in 2021. He averaged 13.1 yards per attempt, way up from the 5.6 he averaged  in Week 9, and bested his 12.1 that he posted in Kansas City back in Week 5. Allen finished with a passer rating of 125.6, good for his third best effort on the season.

Allen and Stefon Diggs were absolutely on fire in Week 10, connecting eight times for 162 yards and a score against the Jets. The touchdown pass to Diggs was a sensational throw by Allen and an even better catch by Diggs, one of his better catches as a Buffalo Bill.

Allen also got Gabriel Davis involved this week, connecting three times for 105 yards and another fantastic throw and catch down by the goal line. As I noted last week, the Buffalo offense is at its best when Allen and Diggs are in rhythm, and that proved to be the case in Week 10.

Josh Allen’s decision making was good against the Jets. He threw the ball less than 30 times, and was smart with who and where he decided to throw the ball to. He made one mistake, throwing an interception to Sharrod Neasman late in third quarter. The game was already well out of hand at that point, so it was no harm no foul. Allen also benefited from the return of Spencer Brown at right tackle.

Week 10 Grade for Josh Allen: A

Josh Allen receives an A grade for his performance in Week 10. Allen and the Buffalo offense were on fire against the Jets on Sunday, and may have gotten their swagger back. Allen would have gotten an A+ this week, but half a letter grade has to be deducted for the interception he threw.

Week 10 was an excellent all around effort for Allen and the Buffalo offense. They emphatically reinserted themselves into the conversation for not only the AFC’s best offense, but the AFC’s best team. They will look to maintain this form next week when the Indianapolis Colts come to Orchard Park.
