Bleacher Report: Buffalo Bills remain in the same spot at sixth overall

Current Week’s Ranking: 6

Last Week’s Ranking: 6

After the Buffalo Bills’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the power rankings on Bleacher Report didn’t drop them too far down. However, a win over the Jets didn’t help their cause and they remain just outside of the Top 5.

"An angry Bills team shellacked the Jets on Sunday. Offensively, the Bills racked up 489 yards and drove the field at will—the team had just seven third downs over the entire game. Defensively, the Bills forced five Jets turnovers and didn’t allow New York to find the end zone until the game was totally out of hand."

The performance of Josh Allen has seemingly overshadowed what the defense was able to do. While the New York Jets are not going to be confused for a great offense, they were finding some success recently with Mike White.

However, the Bills’ defense put constant pressure on the Jets’ quarterback and forced him into four interceptions. Micah Hyde also added a forced fumble right before halftime with the Jets threatening and in field goal range.

While the offense has been up and down, the Bills’ defense has been pretty consistent with how they have played. There is a strong argument to be made that this is the best defense in the NFL and can strengthen that argument even more if they can slow down Jonathan Taylor on Sunday.
