3. Matthew Stafford
Last Week: 4
Matthew Stafford continues to move up the rankings with his performances over the past few weeks, and the season in total. The past two weeks he has completed over 65% of his passes with over 300 passing yards each game with six total touchdowns and no turnovers.
While those performances could be dismissed a bit considering it came against the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans, for the season Stafford ranks third in the league in passing yards per game (309.6) with 22 passing touchdowns (ranks second in the NFL) and only four interceptions.
The Rams gambled a bit in the offseason by trading for Matthew Stafford but the deal has certainly paid off and they are one of the best teams in the NFC and a serious Super Bowl contender.
He has another great opportunity ahead of him this week with a Sunday night primetime contest with the Titans, who have struggled to stop the pass this year.
