Bleacher Report: Buffalo Bills jump all the way up to second

Current Week’s Ranking: 2

Last Week’s Ranking: 4

The power rankings on Bleacher Report have typically been the one to rank the Bills the lowest among the four power rankings I look at. However, this week the Buffalo Bills moved up two spots and are only behind the Los Angeles Rams.

"“Buffalo didn’t play their best game of the season in Week 8,” Davenport said. “But on a day when the offense had some struggles, the defense stepped up and carried the Bills to another win. That balance (and a Bills defense that doesn’t get the credit it should) is what makes Buffalo the team to beat in the AFC in 2021.”"

The Buffalo Bills defense is often overlooked but as Davenport notes, it was this group that helped keep the Bills in this game while the offense tried to find its footing. Under Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier, the Bills have typically ranked near the top of the league in most defensive categories.

Must Read. Report card for the Buffalo Bills in Week 8. light

This year is no different and there is a case to be made that the Buffalo Bills have the best defense in the league when considering they lead the league in yards allowed per game (269.0), points allowed per game (15.6), and turnovers (13).
