Buffalo Bills Trade Target #2: Marlon Mack

The Buffalo Bills have invested in the running back over the past few seasons with a third round pick in 2019 to select Devin Singletary and a third round pick in 2020 to select Zack Moss. While both have had moments during the season that would give fans hope, neither has been consistent enough to remain the featured running back.

The Bills may want to look at adding a veteran to the position that can provide some consistency. While a player like Denver Broncos’ running back Melvin Gordon would be an excellent choice, the cap space limits what they can do here.

That is why I believe the Bills should target Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack. The Colts running back has worked his way back from an Achillies injury suffered last season and he returned to Indianapolis on a one-year deal worth $2 million. However, in a crowded backfield, the two sides reportedly agreed to look for a new team for Mack.

Prior to the injury, and before the Colts drafted Jonathan Taylor, Mack proved he could be a featured running back for a team. He has the ability to run inside, outside and be a threat in the passing game out of the backfield. In 2018 and 2019, Mack combined for over 2,000 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns.
