MVP Power Rankings: Where does Josh Allen rank entering Week 8?
5. Derrick Henry, RB (Tennessee Titans)
This past week against the Kansas City Chiefs would be considered a ‘down week’ for what the Titans running back has shown this season. He finished the game with 86 rushing yards and no rushing touchdowns but did throw a passing touchdown.
This past week snapped a streak of five straight games with over 100 rushing yards but still is leading the league in rushing yards and by a wide margin. On the season, Henry has 869 rushing yards, which is 290 more rushing yards than the second place player in the category. He also has 10 rushing touchdowns, which is four more than James Conner, who is second in that category.
The MVP award is likely going to end up going to a quarterback but if Derrick Henry continues to produce as he has, then he certainly will receive some votes at the end of the season.
