NFL.com: Buffalo Bills drop but remain in Top 3

Current Week’s Ranking: 3

Last Week’s Ranking: 2

The Buffalo Bills dropped in Dan Hanzus’ power rankings on NFL.com, similar to ESPN, but didn’t fall as far. They were passed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and fell one spot to third. Hanzus wrote about the Bills:

"When Josh Allen was stuffed on fourth-and-short to clinch a frustrating 34-31 loss to the Titans in Week 6, it put the spotlight on a perplexing issue concerning the AFC East leaders: Why is this loaded offense struggling to tally touchdowns in the red zone? Buffalo is scoring nearly 34 points per game, but the team is 26th in red-zone TD conversion."

This was one of the biggest takeaways from Week 6 as this has been an issue all season for the Bills and was something they would need to focus on correcting during the bye week.

While that fourth down play gets attention, the Buffalo Bills had two other trips to the red zone against the Titans that didn’t end in touchdowns. One of those drives, the Bills did have a touchdown but it was called back due to a holding penalty by Emmanuel Sanders and they had to settle for a field goal.

If the Bills had scored a touchdown there, it would have likely been a very different outcome for Buffalo.
