Buffalo Bills use more four wide receiver sets

In the end, I believe the Buffalo Bills will go back to their playbook from a season ago with Tommy Sweeney replacing Dawson Knox as the starting tight end but playing more four wide receiver sets until Knox is ready to return.

Last year, the Bills ran four wide receiver sets 15% of the time, which was the second most in the NFL behind the Arizona Cardinals, according to Sharp Football Stats. This year, the Bills still are running the second most four wide receiver sets but that percentage has dropped to 11% this year.

The Bills have the depth at the wide receiver position to have that many wide receivers on the field which would create challenges for the opposing defense. The group would most likely be Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis but Isaiah McKenzie could step in as well.

Any time that Dawson Knox misses will certainly be tough but the Buffalo Bills have plenty of options to address the absence until he is able to return.
