WR Stefon Diggs vs. Titans cornerbacks

I write Stefon Diggs vs. Titans corners because it’s unclear exactly who will be tasked with covering the All-Pro wideout this Monday.

Tennessee’s top cornerback Kristian Fulton has missed the last two days of practice, putting his status for Week 6 in question. If he’s not ready to go, veteran Janoris Jenkins could be next up to take his position.

Jenkins, a 10-year veteran, has struggled to start the 2021 campaign. In five starts, he’s surrendered 70 yards or more in coverage three times, according to PlayerProfiler.

If it’s not Jenkins, Diggs may see a lot of 2021 first-round pick Caleb Farley in coverage. Farley has appeared in just two NFL games this season and missed practice on Thursday with an illness.

All of this news means Diggs could be in-store for an earth-shattering performance. Through five weeks, he has topped 100 receiving yards just once despite hitting the mark three times entering Week 6 a season ago. One of those games came against the Titans in Week 5 of 2020, when he hauled in 10 receptions for 106 yards.

Although Buffalo’s offense has operated smoothly without huge contributions from Diggs in 2021, it’s at its best when he’s dominating. Regardless of the corner he’s battling with this week, expect Diggs to break through.
