3 things Josh Allen can do to shine against the Houston Texans

Run, run, run

In both of Houston’s losses this year so far, their opponents ran the ball 30 or more times. Against Cleveland, the Browns gave Chubb 11 carries for 95 yards and Hunt 13 carries for 51 yards. Houston currently ranks 18th in the NFL in run defense, giving up 116.3 rushing yards per game and 4.2 yards per carry.

With how the Bills have been running the ball so far this year, they should have continued success against Houston. Brian Daboll has dialed up the designed quarterback runs multiple times this year so far, and I don’t expect that to change. Opposing defenses have to respect the Bills’ run game with the talent they have at quarterback. Allen can let it fly but also pull it down and run like a tight end.

Houston doesn’t seem to have enough talent on defense to leave a spy on Allen or contain him, and I envision a big day on the ground for him, especially with the weather forecast. With Josh Allen’s ability to extend plays with his legs, I expect success for the Bills running the ball this week, especially if they get up early.
