Buffalo Bills emerge as AFC’s cream of the crop in latest Power Rankings
NFL.com: Buffalo Bills again listed as the best team in the AFC
Current Rank: 4
Last Week: 5
Buffalo’s offensive firepower isn’t going unnoticed in media circles. Their dismantling of what many thought to be a formidable Washington defense certainly appears to have been eye-opening.
The addition of Emmanuel Sanders has been of great benefit to Allen and the Bills’ offense. Not only is Sanders capable of stretching the field — as he has shown by getting behind defenders in all three contests thus far, but he’s proven reliable as a pass- catcher and is already fitting in with the Buffalo community.
"“Josh Allen picked apart a supposedly good Washington defense with surgical precision, cutting perfect spirals through gusting winds like Joe Namath at Shea Stadium in a casually dominant 43-21 win over the Football Team.”–Dan Hanzus"
What should scare opponents, even more, is also having to account for Gabriel Davis, who rounds out the Bills’ Top 4 receivers. When Davis is on the field, he’s likely being guarded by the opponents’ fourth or fifth-best defensive back; a matchup nightmare for defensive coordinators.
The Bills offense is loaded. And if Allen can continue distributing the ball and building on his Week 3 performance, Buffalo will be difficult to defend over the long haul.
