Taylor Heinicke throws at least one interception

This was supposed to be the return of Ryan Fitzpatrick to Buffalo, where he was a starter for a few seasons, but a hip injury will force him to miss this week. Washington now turns to Taylor Heinicke, who has played well in limited action over the past few years.

He was the starting quarterback in that playoff game against the Bucs last year and is coming off a game where he threw for over 300 passing yards against the Giants.

However, one area he has struggled in is protecting the football. In three career starts, including the one in the playoffs last year, Heinicke has at least one interception in each of those games.

The Buffalo Bills haven’t necessarily been known for forcing turnovers the past few years but did get one last week against the Dolphins thanks to Levi Wallace. A secondary with players like Tre’Davious White, Micah Hyde, and Taron Johnson, the threat is certainly there and the Bills should be able to force Heinicke into a few bad throws that they can convert to turnovers.
