Can the Buffalo Bills’ offense start to click?

This week the Bills’ offensive line is not matched up against T.J. Watt or Cam Heyward. Gratefully. However, the Bills should be concerned enough with their performance last week, that they look to dominate the Dolphins’ front and redeem themselves as a unit.

Additionally, Brian Daboll should have a true running back next to Allen even if the Bills decide to use four or five receivers. Buffalo was one of the best teams in the league last season in play-action pass. And removing the running back out of the backfield to play with five wide receivers, does nothing for the Bills’ aforementioned play-pass success.

Lastly, Josh Allen must be prepared to take what the defense gives him. He said last week that he was reading the defense from deep to short and looking for the big throw. However, in looking for the big throw, Allen missed some easy completions, causing possessions to stall resulting in failed drives. The Bills need to score points this week. And lots of them.

If the Buffalo offense doesn’t start humming soon, the narrative that the offense has been figured out will likely linger around until they can prove otherwise.
