Josh Allen was better but still needs to improve

The Buffalo Bills committed to Josh Allen this offseason with a massive contract extension. The move made sense after an incredible season last year where Allen entered the MVP discussion.

However, in Week 1 the Bills quarterback did not look like the same player from last year as he made some poor decisions and was inaccurate against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This week against the Dolphins he was better but still not playing at the level he did last year. He finished the game 17 of 33 for 179 passing yards with two passing touchdowns and one interception as well as 35 rushing yards.

The good news was that the Bills didn’t need Josh Allen to have a big game in Week 2 but the fact is this offense is built around the quarterback. General manager Brandon Beane has added players to compliment his skill set and Brian Daboll has a playbook that leans on Allen to move the ball through the air.

If the Buffalo Bills want to get to the Super Bowl or remain in the discussion as one of the best teams in the AFC, Josh Allen has to return to playing at the level he did last year.
