Efe Obada
On the defensive side of the ball, the one position that probably has enough depth to make one of their players inactive is at defensive end. The Bills had five active for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers but Obada was limited to only 15 snaps or about 26% of the team’s defensive snaps.
The chances Obada could be inactive increased slightly on Friday as he was a new addition to the injury report with a calf injury. This was the first time he was on the injury report so the injury likely happened on Friday during practice. The Bills could be cautious with him and give him a week to rest while creating a spot for Moss.
If the Bills were to make Obada inactive, it would likely mean an increase in playing time for A.J. Epenesa who saw slightly more playing time than Obada with 19 snaps. The second-year defensive end looked good in preseason and could help the team’s pass rush in Miami.
