Will Devin Singletary remain the featured running back?
One of the biggest surprises before the Buffalo Bills took the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers was Zack Moss being inactive. This was one of the biggest questions entering the year as the coaching staff typically only had three running backs active on game day with Taiwan Jones consistently being active due to his play on special teams.
This left two spots for Singletary, Moss, and Matt Breida and the Buffalo Bills elected to keep Breida active likely due to the explosiveness that he brings to the running back position. This made Singletary and Moss essentially playing the same role and the Bills elected to go with Singletary.
This resulted in Devin Singletary playing a career-high in snaps (64) and finishing with 72 rushing yards on 11 carries. While he was productive, it remains to be seen if they stick with Singletary and continue this plan. It is hard to imagine Zack Moss being a healthy scratch all season and this could be a week-to-week situation.
