NFL.com: Buffalo Bills rank third in this version of the NFL’s power rankings

The Bills consistently appear in the Top 3 of most power rankings and this one is no different. Although Buffalo’s offense is frequently mentioned as the strength of their team, Dan Hanzus believes the Bills’ defense will make drastic improvements based on its 2021 NFL Draft selections.

"“…the Bills have a varied and talented group of D-linemen, allowing coordinator Leslie Frazier to mix and match in order to maximize havoc in the trenches. Buffalo is hoping for an instant impact from rookies Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham, but keep an eye on A.J. Epenesa, a second-year pass rusher who received plenty of buzz this summer…”–Dan Hanzus"

The Buffalo Bills brought back almost all their starters from the defense last year but the biggest opportunity for improvement, and Hanzus notes this, is at defensive end. The additions of Rousseau, Basham as well as the hopeful improvements from Epenesa could drastically change this position group.

If the Buffalo Bills’ defensive unit improves in 2021, opponents will have their hands full keeping pace with a high-powered offense and stingy defense.
