Tight End

At the top of the list has to be the tight end position as it not only has some potential depth issues, it also has questions around the starter, Dawson Knox. The tight end position was one that the team wanted to address this offseason and seemingly only did that by signing free agent Jacob Hollister.

That addition though was released when the Bills cut the roster down to 53 players and the only backup the team has at tight end is Tommy Sweeney. For Sweeney, he is a player that showed some flashes as a rookie in 2019 but hasn’t surpassed Knox on the depth chart and didn’t play at all last year due to injuries and complications from COVID-19.

The Bills have tried to supplement the depth with the additions to the practice squad, Quintin Morris and Kahale Warring, but if Knox or Sweeney misses extended time this could create challenges for the team.
