In the weeks leading up to every NFL season, personalities all across television, radio, and written media will give their “hot takes” or “bold predictions”. Some of the takes are just purely for clicks or views, while some are more based on observations and developments that happened during, or after the previous season.

Bold predictions are fun because they’re not supposed to be easy layups. Anyone can tell you that they think the Browns will win the AFC North, or that the NFC West will have three playoff teams again. What makes a bold prediction bold, is the significant chance that prediction does not happen.
