Buffalo Bills: 4 players they should try to trade before roster cuts
Darryl Johnson
One of those younger defensive ends that the Buffalo Bills would rather keep is Darryl Johnson. He was a seventh round pick by the Bills in 2019 and the past few seasons haven’t done much as a pass rusher, until this preseason.
In three games, Johnson has seven total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and three QB hits. The fact that he appears ready to be a part of this rotation at defensive end, combined with what he already brings already to special teams, makes him a player the Bills could view as more valuable this season but also long-term.
However, if the Buffalo Bills want the veteran presence that Mario Addison brings then Darryl Johnson might be the player to trade. The special teams contributions, combined with a contract that has two years left with under $1 million cap hit each year, will certainly help his trade value.
