These are the four Buffalo Bills who stood out the most against the Green Bay Packers.
It was another impressive game for the Buffalo Bills as they came away with a 19-0 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The win, or the fact that the Bills finished 3-0 this preseason, may not mean much for the season. However, the performances of some players on Saturday could have an impact on the role they have with the team this season or if they are even with the Buffalo Bills this season.
This is a list of four players who stood out in the preseason finale with the Buffalo Bills starting with their franchise quarterback.
Josh Allen
The Buffalo Bills elected to keep Josh Allen out of the first two preseason games but on Saturday against the Packers, they had him playing essentially the first half of football. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll didn’t hold anything back and by the time his day was over he threw 26 passes, completing 20 of them for 194 passing yards and two touchdowns.
It is sometimes easy to get over-excited about preseason performances but this is what fans saw all of last year from the starting quarterback. There is no question that he is comfortable in this offense and knows what he wants to do with the ball.
The first touchdown pass to Gabriel Davis was a perfect example of that as he moved across the field and after seeing Emmanuel Sanders wasn’t open moved through his progressions to find Davis with a step on his defender.
Last year, Josh Allen finished as the runner-up to the MVP and after seeing his play on Saturday there is no reason to not think he won’t be contending again this season.
