Buffalo Bills: 5 position battles that will come down to the wire

This battle goes hand in hand with the receiver battle. It was thought that Isaiah McKenzie was the leader of the return battle but after a shoulder injury he picked up that Sean McDermott stated was in between “day-to-day and week-to-week” and Marquez Stevenson returning a punt for a touchdown against the Bears it is back wide open. Add in the signing of Steven Sims and what seemed to be McKenzie’s job before the Bears game is not a three-man race for not only the return spot but what could be the final wide receiver job.

McKenzie still has an edge if he is healthy because of his history with the Bills and success filling in for Andre Roberts last season but do not lock him into the roster just yet. Brian Daboll is a creative offensive mind for the Buffalo Bills and will try and use whoever wins the return job as a weapon on offense. So, you should not only watch these three guys in the return game tomorrow against the packers but also watch how Daboll uses them on offense.

Right now I would give the job to McKenzie if he is healthy by week one. That is a big “if” and the door is still wide open for either Stevenson or Sims to win the job.
