Defensive Line: A.J. Epenesa

A.J. Epenesa had one of the best games of his Bills tenure on Saturday using his quick hands and sheer power turned him into a menace for Bears’ offensive tackles. On 10 pass-rushing snaps, Epenesa finished with 3 hurries and one quarterback hit that came after he completely bulldozed the Bears offensive tackles.

With the flashes we’ve seen from other members of this defensive line, Epenesa needed a game like this to stay near the top of the depth chart and he delivered.

Linebacker: Andre Smith

His day was overshadowed by the massive hit that he put on Justin Fields, but it was another very productive game for Andre Smith. Smith once again led the team in total tackles as he continues to try and carve out a role for himself outside of special teams.

Smith showed a lot of versatility finishing with 5 total tackles and a pass deflection. He also rushed the passer and would’ve had a clean sack of Justin Fields if he had just tackled him a little lower.
