Siran Neal

A core special teamer for the Buffalo Bills through his first three seasons in the NFL, Neal hasn’t done much this preseason to show he deserves some more defensive reps.

Outside of a few mistakes, it was a very strong showing from Buffalo’s defense in its win against the Bears. Unfortunately for Neal, he was the one who was victimized on Chicago’s lone offensive highlight of the day.

Neal was posterized by Bears receiver Rodney Adams for a 73-yard touchdown, but even the Bills’ biggest sore spot in the contest provided a touching moment.

The night before the game, Adams’ wife gave birth to a baby girl, according to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. He slept at the hospital and showed up to play the game. Adams likely won’t have many 24-hour stretches in his life better than this one.

Unfortunately for Neal, it came at his expense.
