Bug Howard

The Buffalo Bills signed tight end Bug Howard at the start of training camp after he was with the team earlier in the summer during a tryout at the team’s minicamp. The former University of North Carolina tight end is an athletic pass catcher who has had stops with a number of teams including the Colts, Browns, and Panthers.

However, he hasn’t shown much in the two preseason games and really given many opportunities to get on the field. He has not had a reception or target through the first two games.

The Bills are dealing with some injuries at the position, most notably Tommy Sweeney, which could help Howard to stick around for the next preseason game. Although, the Bills do have some depth here and players like Nate Becker or undrafted free agent Quintin Morris could be better options to get on the field and get some work.
