Tight End: Tommy Sweeney

The Bills saw action from Dawson Knox, Jacob Hollister, and Tommy Sweeney on Friday night. Sweeney won the day, making a nice adjustment on a catch, and followed it up by picking up some yards after the catch, turning a badly thrown ball into a 19 yard gain.

Sweeney caught 2 passes and turned them into 34 yards. A 7th round pick in 2019 Sweeney has mostly been stashed on the bench to this point, but the team has thought enough of him to keep him on the roster. It will be interesting to see if his impressive preseason debut will help him push for playing time at a position of need for the Bills.

Offensive Line: Cody Ford

The offensive line overall wasn’t very impressive in their first preseason action. Out of all the Bills mainstays on the offensive line Cody Ford played by far the most in the first preseason game. Ford played 4 drives in his new position at right guard and held his own.

As previously mentioned, Singletary had great success running behind him and Ford cleared a nice hole for Matt Breida later in the game.
