Buffalo Bills: 3 free agent offensive tackles they should consider signing

The final player brings the most experience at left tackle but would also probably cost the Buffalo Bills the most. Russell Okung has played almost exclusively at left tackle over his 11 year career that included stops with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers and recently the Carolina Panthers.
Okung has started 131 career games but has dealt with injuries the past two years and has played only a total of 13 games during that stretch. He would need to show that he is completely healthy to give the Bills confidence that he could be the answer as the backup swing tackle.
The other hurdle would be whether or not the Buffalo Bills have enough cap space to sign Okung, and if they want to meet his demands to be a backup tackle. Last month Adam Beasley with Pro Football Network wrote that Okung is waiting for a “satisfactory offer.”

It remains to be seen exactly what that would look like but considering he just finished playing on a four-year, $53 million contract, it may be too much for the Bills. However, if Dion Dawkins is forced to miss time to start the year, the front office may be willing to meet Okung’s demands to get an experienced veteran to protect Josh Allen.
