Buffalo Bills: 3 free agent offensive tackles they should consider signing
These are three offensive tackle free agents the Buffalo Bills should consider signing
The depth at the offensive tackle position needs to be a concern for the Buffalo Bills. This was a position that saw some turnover this offseason with the departure of Ty Nsekhe and the front office signing free agent Bobby Hart while drafting Spencer Brown in the third round and Tommy Doyle in the fifth.
However, the performance last Friday night against the Detroit Lions should cause some concern for the coaching staff. The Bills need an experienced left tackle to protect Josh Allen’s blindside and Bobby Hart doesn’t look like the player to do this.
The need for depth at offensive tackle is even more important after Dion Dawkins press conference on Tuesday. The team’s starting left tackle spoke openly and candidly about his experiences with COVID-19. He spent four days in the hospital and Sean McDermott recently said the starting left tackle is “not close to where he needs to be” in terms of playing.
Hopefully, Dawkins is able to get back into shape in time for the regular season but if not, these are four veteran offensive tackles the Bills should look at that could step into the starting lineup if needed.
