Buffalo Bills Defense

At their respective ages, we probably won’t see too much of Mario Addison and Jerry Hughes on Friday but the Bills have a lot of interesting defensive line prospects like Darryl Johnson and Efe Odaba who will eat up those snaps. Star Lotulelei returns upfront for the Bills so it will be interesting to see how the coaching staff handles him in his first game back since 2019 as well as how they handle Ed Oliver and Harrison Philips who both disappointed in 2020.

There will surely be snaps available for recent second round picks AJ Epenesa and Boogie Basham as Brandon Beane continues his pursuit of bolstering this pass rush. Star and Jerry Hughes both got just 10 snaps in 2018 and with the amount of depth on this roster the coaching staff probably uses the entire depth chart on Friday.

The star secondary trio of White, Hyde and Poyer saw 14 snaps each in 2018 equal to a couple of drives. First-round pick Tremaine Edmunds played 17 snaps in his preseason opener which could be similar to what we will see from Gregory Rousseau. Matt Milano a fifth-round pick played 38 snaps in his preseason opener but now that he has proven himself to be a 40 million dollar player his snap count will be seriously diminished.
