Taron Johnson was last year’s unsung hero, who can take this title this year for the Buffalo Bills?

Last season the Buffalo Bills had a very strong impact from some of the top players on the roster such as Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Tre’Davious White. However when looking past Buffalo’s star players who Bills fans know and love there were significant contributions from the rest of the roster. In some cases, they were contributions that altered the course of Buffalo’s whole season for the better.

While he did make the highlight reels of ESPN, Taron Johnson was the Buffalo Bills unsung hero in 2020. His two massive pick-sixes against both the Steelers and the Ravens in the playoffs created two moments that were major highlights in Buffalo’s best season in the 21st century.

Johnson was never in jeopardy of being cut at the beginning of the season. However, he was expected to perform better than a 2019 campaign which disappointed after his strong showing in his rookie year in 2018.

Johnson did just that and made some plays that not only made Buffalo’s season so successful but will be remembered as some of the most impactful plays in Bills’ history. Johnson was the Buffalo Bills’ unsung hero of 2020. Who will be the Buffalo Bills unsung hero in 2021?
