Cole Beasley

The final player in the group of five that the Buffalo Bills would make available in a hypothetical expansion draft is wide receiver Cole Beasley. The final player for me came down to Beasley and running back Devin Singletary as these are two positions that have good depth and options to replace either player.

While Beasley is coming off a career year with 82 receptions, 967 receiving yards and four touchdowns that earned him a second-team All-Pro selection, there has to be the question of how many more seasons Beasley has like that. He is 32 years old and has two more years on his contract with cap hits above $7 million both seasons.

The Buffalo Bills also have players who could start in the slot if Beasley were selected, like Emmanuel Sanders or Isaiah McKenzie.

As for Singletary, he is coming off a down year and the Bills do have depth at the position with Zack Moss, Matt Breida, and Antonio Williams. The reason why I picked Beasley over Singletary came down to the fact that Singletary still has two more years left on his rookie contract and is much younger than the starting wide receiver.
