Another position that the Buffalo Bills have made some moves to improve the depth this offseason was at linebacker. The Bills added Tyrell Adams, Marquel Lee, and recently Joe Giles-Harris.

The fact that these three join a group that already includes Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, and Tyrel Dodson, the team could afford to put a player like A.J. Klein up in an expansion draft.

Klein also joined the Bills last offseason and probably played more than initially expected with the injuries Matt Milano dealt with last season. As the season went on, Klein seemed to get more comfortable and became more effective, even winning AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 12.

However, Klein is carrying a cap hit of $6.4 million this year and $5.6 million next season. If the Bills tried to release him this year it would have added $5.6 million in dead cap so it seemed unlikely that would be a route they would take but would make sense to make him available in expansion draft to get that contract off their salary cap.
