Number 3: Ty Nsekhe

The next player on this list is backup swing tackle Ty Nsekhe, who left the Bills in free agency and signed with the Dallas Cowboys. The reason that Nsekhe is here on this list is that his absence will be felt only if a few things go the wrong way for the Buffalo Bills.

The first is that they would need to lose one of their starting tackles, Daryl Williams or Dion Dawkins, to a long-term injury. In that scenario, Nsekhe would have been the next player to likely step in and with his veteran experience would have been a boost for this offensive line.

The other part to consider is that the Bills did draft two offensive tackles in the 2021 NFL Draft, Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle, and the hope is that one of those two would be able to step in if the need were to arise. There is always the unknown with a rookie and Nsekhe’s absence would really be an issue if either of those two weren’t able to play at a high level.

In the end, Nsekhe’s veteran presence will certainly be missed but the impact of him not being on the Buffalo Bills roster wouldn’t be truly felt unless they lose Dawkins or Williams to a long-term injury and one of the rookies couldn’t replace them.
