Improved Pass Rush

The Buffalo Bills finished 15th in the NFL last year in sacks with 38 however 18 of those sacks came from linebackers and players in the secondary. When the Bills are the most effective is when they are getting pressure on quarterbacks with just their front four and not having to bring additional players on blitzes.

The team has invested heavily in their defensive line this offseason to hopefully improve this part of the defense. They drafted Greg Rousseau with their pick in the first round and went right back to the position in the second with the selection of Carlos Basham Jr. out of Wake Forest.

These two players, along with A.J. Epenesa who is entering his second season and expected to increase his production, could be enough of a boost to improve the pass rush. If the Buffalo Bills do that, it can only help the secondary as quarterbacks are going to have less time in the pocket.
