Buffalo Bills: Updated 53-man roster projections after minicamp
Linebacker (5)
Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, A.J. Klein, Tyrell Adams, Tyler Matakevich
The Buffalo Bills are going to be forced to cut, or trade, good players at this position this offseason. The team realistically has eight players who would warrant a roster spot and with the Bills keeping three quarterbacks, they are going to have to limit this group down to five players.
When taking that into account, it is important for the team to find players who not only could start if the need arose but contribute on special teams. While Tyler Matakevich may not be able to start, he is one of the best special teams players in the league and is too valuable to cut.
This would then leave the team with A.J. Klein and Tyrell Adams, two players who can contribute on special teams but have shown the ability to step in as a starter. Last year, Klein got off to a slow start in place of Matt Milano but played well while Adams was a starter for the Houston Texans almost the entire season and finished with 125 total tackles.
This means players like Andre Smith, Marquel Lee, and Tyrel Dodson could be players who will be looking for new teams before the start of the season.
