Running Backs Coach: Kelly Skipper
Kelly Skipper is a veteran coach who came into Buffalo with McDermott in 2017. Skipper has coached running backs for fourteen years in the NFL.
Over the past four seasons, Skipper has spearheaded some solid running back play for Buffalo. Skipper has been a big part of Devin Singletary and Zack Moss’s rookie season successes as well as very good seasons from veterans LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore.
Skipper is not only important to Buffalo’s past success but he is extremely important to this coming year’s success. Last season Buffalo had a down season running the ball. This coming season Skipper will have to help both Zack Moss and Devin Singletary have better seasons than last. Buffalo struggled to run the ball consistently and if the offense wants to be more versatile running the ball successfully will be necessary.
