Much has been made about Josh Allen’s potential ever since he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 draft. He was labeled as a long-term project with massive upside and so far Allen has proven the Bills to be correct for drafting him.

Allen has improved every single year so it’s not crazy for Bills fans to expect this linear development to continue and for Josh to get even better in the years to come. This might feel unfair, to assume that a quarterback coming off a Top 3 MVP season can get even better but when you look at Josh Allen, it’s hard not to see him becoming an even better player in the coming years.

In a February interview with Rich Eisen, Allen’s quarterback consultant, Jordan Palmer, called Josh “maybe the most physically gifted QB ever” Josh’s combination of raw talent and his dedication to refining his skills and improving his accuracy makes him a tantalizing what-if.

In this article, I will take a deep dive into the improvements that Josh has made during his three-year NFL career, and determine some areas that he could still improve on, and in doing so I will try to determine how high his ceiling is.
