The New York Jets got out to a great start, but an early mistake ultimately led the Buffalo Bills to win the game.

Week one of the 2019 season was the highlight of the year for C.J. Mosley, who had just come over from earning multiple pro bowls for the Baltimore Ravens. Mosley had a 17-yard pick-six on Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.  Mosley was injured later in the game and basically missed the rest of the season, but that’s not why the New York Jets lost this game.

When the Jets scored the pick-six, Kaare Vedvik missed the extra point. This was brutal as the Bills rallied from a 16-3 second-half deficit to win the game 17-16. This game had it all, including a safety when former Bills running back Frank Gore got tackled inside the endzone.

The difference in this game was two Allen touchdowns, one thrown to John Brown and a rushing touchdown by Allen himself. Buffalo would go on to a postseason berth, while the Jets had a rough first half of the season but finished on a 6-2 record in their final eight games. Including a big upset over the Dallas Cowboys in which no one saw coming.
